Who would have imagined that one day humanity would develop an aircraft propelled by an engine with no moving parts. But now that day has come, and engineers at MIT have developed the world's first Ion propelled aircraft. Tested in 2018, this aircraft was able to fly 60 meters under the power of a 40,000 volt ion propulsion system. If you doubt the existance of this vehicle, I dare you to google "MIT Ion Plane".

Actually, US Patent 10,119,527 shows the details of the first ion propelled aircraft with onboard power. There are about 30 videos of it online.
