The NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance) is a development program for a next-generation fighter aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and Navy. Designed to replace the F-22 Raptor, this stealth aircraft will incorporate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, directed-energy weapons, and the ability to operate in networked coordination with drones.
Built for air superiority against future threats, it emphasizes modularity and faster production through a digital approach. Its entry into service is expected in the 2030s.
