After their primary mission ended, All of the THEMIS Satellites were working properly so NASA extended the 2 farthest THEMIS satellites' mission to the Moon as THEMIS-ARTEMIS. Those names of THEMIS B and THEMIS C was changed to ARTEMIS P1 and ARTEMIS P2. They were mostly going for 2 Moon Flybys for each other and eventually went to Lunar Orbit. Their other names are Explorer 85 and MIDEX-5A (THEMIS A), Explorer 86 and MIDEX-5B (ARTEMIS P1), Explorer 87 and MIDEX-5C (ARTEMIS P2), Explorer 88 and MIDEX-5D (THEMIS D), and Explorer 89 and MIDEX-5E (THEMIS E).
