ATC - 15 LEAPFROG

Upvotes are appreciated

This is what I call Long-Range Fully-Electric VTOL Tilt-Rotor Quadcopter Small lift Cargo or Exploration Aircraft. Just call it Leapfrog for short, I named it Leapfrog because it's a fat fu- I mean it looked like a frog with cool jawline. Btw I made this as highschool project. Don't worry, it's mobile friendly, the game still run at 14 fps on my phone at low quality.

About this Frog dude

Capability and Avionics

An Electric VTOL aircraft, capable of sending up to 2.5 Metric Tons within 1300km of range as ToadAeronautics told me. And make sure you're within range to land on land because it's a plane it's not a boat bruh. make sure to keep the payload centered or it'll do a backflip, fairing should be useful here. Explores Droo's surface with up to 9 people aboard (it'll probably be unstable with full passengers but who cares). This fat metal frog isn't a joke, it could Cruise at a speed of Mach 0.91, that's 314 meters per second.
Leapfrog Cruising Fly-by
But technically, The range is infinite, Because you can land anywhere (except water) to let the crew rest while Charging with a bunch of Solar panel Arrays on board. Charging to full probably will take days but who cares?

Equiped with 2 default MFDs because I couldn't think what else to put there. A long display for AG controls. Cockpit
Three combined transparent MFDs as a Wide freaking HUD that probably kill your eyes if it was real, based on my previous craft Nice Aircraft HUD. Leapfrog HUD
Oh and a bunch of on board cams to give some cinematic views.

Controls

  • Hover Mode
    Hover mode
The default mode btw. When I said it's VTOL, it IS literally VTOL. You can't take off like those STOVL or CTOL, etc. you HAVE to vertically take off and Land all the time........ I think

    1. Pitch = Move up and down.
But it's inverse, so like a plane, Pull-up (pitch -1) to go up
    2. Roll = Move left and right.
    3. Yaw = yaw.
    4. Throttle = Move forward.
Limited to 54 m/s, unless AG velocity stabilizer is off. But turning it off will make it like... Drunk...
    5. Brake = Move backward.
  • Transition: Hover to Flight
Turn on AG 2 and push throttle to 100%. Maintain the pitch and roll orientation using regular plane controls. After the speed is more than 53 m/s, you can now control it like-

  • Flight Mode
    Flight mode
You can call it plane mode or glide mode whatever. It's all those regular plane controls in Juno. I'm really sure you know how to do it. But there's a twist; Brake will allow you to reverse the thrust to slowdown fast for-

  • Transition: Flight to Hover
Seems you're reading this in a good sequence. Hit the Brake and slowdown until the speed is below 100 m/s. Turn off AG 2 when the speed is between 50 - 87 m/s. It'll probably slightly drunk sometimes but it's actually trying it's best to stabilize with the best effort of it's miserable life.

If you forgot how to control this thing, B E N O T
A F R A I D, Open the log and click on the text, it'll tell you how. No need to go back to this 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 long desc.

Goofy Ahhhhh Vizzy Program

Welp the vizzy isn't that crazy here
This is the entire vizzy script for the craft control in a single screenshot (excluding the MFDs).
Leapfrog main program
How is it that short? You wonder? Well... Not only that I'm a swag Aerospace nerd but I'm also a computer science student. So, simplifying the code make it as readable as possible is a good thing to prioritize. I put comments on for explanations, so in case you wanna learn.

Roll Credits

Massive Thanks for Mmmmnex for the Awesome screenshots. Dude my phone will be cooked into ashes if I tried to take it myself. Go check him on X @Z_nexxx

Thanks for my Physics and Math Teachers in highschool for giving me knowledge to be able to make this and regret skipping their class.

My name is Funny, a swag nerd with sunglasses. See you in the next project.

@FunnyGuyexe4 Did a long range flight, said I went about 1,300 kilometers, before vtol landing it in the ocean. I agree, let people know this chunky metal frog with a funny jawline.
