Real Rockets for Real Scaled System
This is a proposed future lunar lander of Masten Space Systems based on ULA's ACES high energy upper stage. With some simple kit, ACES can be changed into a multi-use Lunar Lander.
It has dual axis thrust system, so land on its belly. It enables crews and cargo easy to access lunar surface.
Due to game limitation, it can't hold heavy cargo or flip around. Real one would deal with it by differential thrust, but you can't do that in game now. In theory this can deliver 25t cargo to Lunar surface, but due to the problem I guess anything heavier than 3t can't be carried by this thing.
Lunar Cargo Module or Space Exploration Vehicle is not included.
Flight Manual
Use RL-10B-2 to make low orbit at 35km. Make a shallow crash course with RL-10B-2. Start deceleration with RL-10B-2 at AGL 4500m. If you hit 0 horizontal speed, change control to "[Xeus] Touchdown Controller" in the back of the lander. It will give you control over 4 Katana engines and Touchdown RCS system. Use it to decelerate vertical speed. Put Slider 2 to 100 to deploy landing gears. Gently touchdown. Use Slider 1 to adjust Payload Docking Port height.
