It can transport up to 5 tons of cargo to the south pole, including, food supplies, construction suplly, rovers or even people! (up to 50 passengers)
The plane is powered by 4 turbo jets that deliver up to 500 KNs, and these aren't so expensive...
For carry cargo, this plane has a big cargo bay, and it uses a very cool system (check out the last 2 images of the camera roll.)
