Built in 1994 and launched in 1999, whilst America was only launching its first rover, the Mars III rocket took off to Mars first empty and then arriving manned in 2002. The crew where 2 twenty three year olds male and female and currently live on Mars. They where intended as a one way trip with a farm, food for 3 years and decent space. They still keep in contact with Earth.
