Droplet With An Acceleration Ring.
Introduction to Water Droplet
The water droplet mentioned in Liu Cixin's science fiction novel "The Dark Forest" (the second book in the "Three-Body" trilogy) is a cosmic probe created by the Trisolaran civilization using Strong Interaction Material (SIM). It is referred to as a water droplet by humans due to its similar appearance. The probe has a reflectivity of 100% to electromagnetic waves, an absolutely smooth surface, a temperature at absolute zero, and a shell that is over a hundred times stronger than the hardest material in the solar system. During flight, the water droplet can even make sharp turns without any loss of speed, defying the laws of conservation of momentum and angular momentum. In the final battle, just one water droplet destroyed a significant portion of humanity's space military forces.
Description of the water droplet from the original text:
The size of the probe is approximately as expected, measuring 3.5 meters in length. When Ding Yi saw it, he had the same impression as others: a droplet of mercury. The probe takes the shape of a water droplet, with a rounded head and a sharp tail. Its surface is extremely smooth, resembling a fully reflective mirror. The Milky Way galaxy reflects on its surface, creating a seamless pattern of light, giving the impression of purity and beauty. The droplet's liquid-like appearance is so vivid that observers sometimes believe it is actually in a liquid state, seemingly devoid of any internal mechanical structure.
The Structure and Control of Droplet in Game
The shape of the droplet in the game is constructed based on the curve of a water droplet. Its outer shell is composed of 73 fuselages, with each one's diameter accurately calculated.
In the game, it does not use gyroscopes for control but instead utilizes 24 rocket engines, which are installed on the six faces of a cube. By inputting different thrusts to the engines, it can achieve translation and rotation in three dimensions.
I refer to it as the suspended core of the water droplet.
Abilities in the Game.
- Rotation and translation in three directions.
- Hovering in the absence of input.
- Precise control of speed.
- Extreme maneuverability.
- Customizable acceleration, with a maximum of 2000g within the atmosphere and 10000g in space.
- Parallel approach guided impact on targets.
- Synchronized target velocity, advancing together with the target.
- Rapid approach to the target.
- Altitude-hold cruising.

@3639322358 等更新吧,目前没办法
@York 可是我真的很想要简单飞机手机版那样的水滴,因为我没有电脑
@3639322358 手机里调不成全反射,只能用电脑
在手机里如何把它调成透明的
@York thank you. I'm going to limit myself to one speed and acceleration to avoid the excessive rolling.
@Silverback no need
@Silverback maybe better.https://www.simplerockets.com/c/R70SDf/t1
Also do the engines need to be in a strictly cuboid format to properly work? I've been going for rectangular formats since most of my crafts are oblong.
@York so I'm working on a new craft, and during engine testing I found that it over rolls without receiving input. Can you please help me with some corrections. Here is a mass-correct replica with 2 engine approaches I'm using

@York ah as expected. The original is actually well operational, just that it's very military orientated. Don't know if you will out a civilian grade one.
@Silverback After changing different methods to achieve, found that the effect is similar to the original
Hi @York
Passing by to be nosey and ask if you have made any progress on making the motion core ☺️🤞🙏
@York that you. Here it is. I tried to add a landing gear condition a while back and I got a bad lag.

@Silverback OK, just give me the URL.
@York my craft is approaching completion but movement sensitivity is not optimum. Is it possible to help me do some optimization?
@York it worked. Thank you
@Silverback Increase KP2
@York how can I improve pitch, roll and yaw sensitivity of the core. It seems to be laggy for larger crafts
@York thank you. It might be a transfer glitch when converting the core to sub assembly that messes up the script. I tried simply making my own craft a sub assembly and moving it to the original droplet craft and the core works perfectly fine. Will make do with this for now, though it's going to be annoying reconfiguring the colour scheme.
@Silverback In theory, it should work fine. Perhaps a higher value could be effective. I may upload a universal hover module in July or August that doesn't require adjusting parameters. You can try waiting for that module if you like.
@York thank you. so i first changed the values to x10 of existing value, nothing changed.
I then calculated that my current craft is 31.83 times heavier than the original droplet and multiplied the inputs accordingly, but nothing changed.
In the last run, I decided to use up, right and forward sliders while testing, and I found that the up slider doesn't shift irrespective of input while the other 2 respond accordingly. Please advise.
@Silverback Just change kp, ki ,kd and kp2, ki2, kd2.
Hi York, nice craft. I'm trying to borrow the engine core and use it for one of my short range shuttles but it doesn't translate upwards after being installed. How do I solve this?
I've seen the conversation you had with zenith a few comments below, and I can't see the pid to be edited in the script 😁. Please advise.
