The MAV(Mars Ascent Vehicle) is the return rocket used by Ares astronauts(including Mark Whatney) to leave the surface of Mars and return to Hermes. The MAV uses LH2/LOX for fuel. It has 3 stages, and a crew capsule that can hold 6 astronauts. This semi-realistic version can hold 8 astronauts and is the one meant for th Ares V mission.
