program is set to target " Craft-86 " , that's my test target. you can put any target withing 6 Km from the base and put its name in the {Target Node} line. Release the craft for free fall at 43 km over head the base and press AG1 (ugh i'm not sure if you need to , been editing this thing for the past 6 hours). i put some cameras for fins monitor and also some Spacex-like fun
PS: you'll need to launch a craft of your own to that position and save it as my craft tips over on launch attempt.

@crowxe - ok, the 6km range and 43km alt shouldnt be hard to get together - so far i enclosed the nose gizmos inside a small cargo bay, and added some pitch\yaw control surfaces to the fins(that can be turned on for ascent, and off for descent, so it wont affect the guided landing). it should work to compensate for the rocket engine gimbal being disabled. ill keep an eye out for the newer version, and send you a link when i get a smooth take off and descent

@SmurfResearchX design is your department , do what you see fits. if possible treat it as first stage that puts second stage to suitable altitude, the landing burn takes very little fuel, not sure how much delta V but it's just few seconds with 70%~90% thrust but of course later would need more deltaV for return unless we land it on the Drone ship. her is the latest version and it landed on a drone ship that i put as a target .

@crowxe - i started adjusting it, the tinkered craft has 19000 delta v...for no tinkering, it might need a heavier launch stage(to get to altitude), and discard it - to keep it light and manueverable during start of freefall, then just enough fuel for the guided landing...if that sounds ok, what would be a safe delta v # for the landing stage? i was thinking 2000ish

@crowxe - sounds good, just downloaded it - its funny, the unlisted upload i sent you is kind of similar idea, but didnt get as far. ill work on it tonite, and hopefully have it ready for tomorrow, if that is good? and just so i understand correctly, the targeting program starts in air, above the named target(that i will set), and it will be flown manually before that, right? i am more confident at building, but should know enough about the vizzy to see if things are happening when they are supposed to, ill reply back if i run into anything im not sure of...or upload the current progress to check out

The craft has a a tiny gyro just for damping the craft's rotation speed, it's operated by a side program to hold current heading for half a second then lock to none for a second.
The command chip on start tilts 90 degrees (pilot looking to the horizon) , that enables me to get the orientation of roll axis to redistribute the control among the fins regardless to the craft roll (roll becomes heading)
Great@SmurfResearchX Great idea for the switchable fins , sorry i forgot to paste the link..i couldn;t type those brackets
