This is supposed to be a sort of realistic space shuttle based off of all the NASA ones.

1st of all - yes I did change the mass of parts so it can actually get into orbit.
2nd - it does handle mediocre

i put all the effort into the aesthetics :)

feel free to open the cargo bay and put in whatever satellite you want - that's what its job is anyway! i also implemented a robotic arm with 3 axes of freedom so you can grab old satellites and bring them back down.

landing gear is put down and up by activating the group then sliding slider 1 to 100 and back. 100=down, 0 = up

Hope you enjoy!

Hey, could I use your robotic arm from this? I probably won’t use it in builds I will (probably never) post.

I know you posted this ages ago, but I have a suggestion to improve it's handling. I don't know how well this'll work in SimpleRockets 2, but if the physics are at all realistic it should. Basically, rotate the SSMEs so they point through the centre of mass, to compensate for the mass offset of the ET. On liftoff, the SRBs should provide enough thrust that the shuttle slides, instead of rotating. Once the SRBs detach, the SSMEs should want to point the shuttle up, until the ET detaches. Then just use the OMS engines instead of the SSMEs (I don't think any engines in the game can gimbal as much as real RS-25s could).
Now that I've commented, I'm going to open the game and see if this works :P

Aim at a certain angle before you lift off.

Love the looks, good to show off, absolutely terrible at sending things into space.

How in the world do you control it on take-off? If anyone can help me that would be great. It pitches forward and crashes on takeoff.

Hi, i like how it looks, i just want to know how you made it balanced, when i do it it just leans backwards and explodes, and i can't fix it at all

Very hard to control keeps breaking up and spinning out of control. I like it but hard to control.

I really like your work. I just find a tiny stuff on left wings, cylindric part don't know what is it... I try to make it more handle.
