Why is it made of glass? Who knows! It looks cool while launching refrigerators!
I was reading about Rocket Lab's Electron rocket, an all-electric rocket for launching small payloads, and I decided to create my own version to fulfill the career contracts for launching refrigerators (SmallSats).
This is an up-rated version for launching up to 4 refrigerators into almost any orbit. A reduced cost version rated for only 2 refrigerators may be coming at a later date.
How to use:
- Make sure your refrigerators are offset no more than 0.3 meters from the center, to ensure that they fit inside the fairing
- Launch from Juno Village
- Upon start, Vizzy will ask you for the Target Periapsis
- After activating the first stage, Vizzy will take care of the rest. After you reach main engine cutoff, you can plot a burn node to circularize to your contract orbit.
Tech required:
- Electric "Pixie" Engine
- Hydrolox fuel type
- Fuel Cells (reduced launch weight by replacing batteries with a tiny fuel cell)
