Dongfanghong-1 (code name: DFH-1) is the first artificial satellite launched by China at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on April 24, 1970. Dongfanghong-1 satellite was put forward in 1958, developed in 1965, and successfully launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on April 24, 1970. The satellite, weighing 173 kg, was sent into an elliptical orbit with perigee of 441 km, apogee of 2368 km and inclination of 68.44 degrees by the Long March-1 carrier rocket, and the orbit measurement and control were carried out and the music of Dongfanghong was broadcast. Dongfanghong-1 satellite works for 28 days (design life is 20 days). The satellite stopped transmitting signals on May 14, 1970. Dongfanghong-1 satellite is still in space orbit.
