Inspired by a competition sponsored by the Technological Student Association, I hereby present the Juno Flight Endurance Challenge. With a maximum budget of 50 000 dollars, create a contraption and launch from the Juno Village Launch Pad or Runway. Your distance is however far you go from the moment you leave the ground to the moment you touch it as the crow flies.
Invulnerability is allowed and encouraged so that the pause-on-ground-contact programme has a chance to function, allowing for an accurate distance measurement. Mods, the tinker panel, and direct XML modification is not allowed. Do keep in mind that the minimum speed to trigger this programme is 5 metres per second.
If you wish to partake, download the craft and use its programme, then submit your creation as a successor craft. Post your recorded best distance in the description of your craft. Please be honourable, for I will not personally test each and every creation.
