The first iteration of a New Series I'm working on that I stopped doing since SimplePlanes: taking the stock plane and iterating it based on real life plane developments. In example: advancing from the MiG-17 to the MiG-19, the first Soviet Supersonic fighter.

@DeboStreams no. Go on the hangar, press the “new craft” button, and it asks you for a plane or rocket. Select plane. That’s the stock plane I’m talking about.

@DeboStreams The stock livery was kind of intentional... you know the plane you get when you press “New Plane”? This is supposed to be a design evolution of that plane from fixed wing to supersonic. Aside from nerfing the power of the original engine the entire plane was redesigned for supersonic flight. Next time I make a plane like this it will look somewhere between a MiG-21, the Su-9, and the Ye-152.
I had originally changed the plane’s wing sweep to roughly that of the MiG-17, but it was pretty slow so I increased the wing sweep a little more to about this and shrunk the air intake from the stock plane. Surprise surprise it never took off at all. So I replaced the nose cone with the nosecone/air intake as on the Soviet designs and it started doing much better, albeit short duration in flight (exactly what I wanted in sense of realism). About that point with further changes to the stabilizer and kablam you got this!

@DeboStreams Regardless the aircraft was always in the game files since release.
