Greatly simplify rendezvous operations while saving a lot of dV and RCS along the way!
This version is to be used on your own craft. User interface is based on ISS operations. Use DDART for docking operations.
How?
- Make a subassembly of the mfd/fuel tank/camera combo
- Add and connect it to your favorite craft to be docked. Verify that the MFD screen color is still black
- Launch rocket into roughly the same plane and behind the target
- Using the JNO maneuver nodes, roughly line up orbital planes and approach the target
- Accurate line up of orbital planes using the mfd
- Once approaching the target to within several 10s or 100s of kms, start using the MFD
- Hit prograde, roll wings level and use translation to maneuver towards final docking operations

to get it on the MFD.
- Make sure the rcs is sufficiently low thrust for precise orbital maneuvers
- Scale can be changed to a user desired value for nearby or far-out operations (green icon)
Too steep a learning curve? Play around with the mfd HERE
