The M-4 Jaeger AATC is the UNMC’s premier VTOL capable combat assault craft. The Jaeger can carry up to 12 Marines and one combat pilot and rapidly deploy them to any type of environment, permissible or non permissible.
The Jaeger is equipped with:
- A dedicated FF designation system
- A weapons management system operable via dual switches on the control column.
- The cockpit is also outfitted with a HUD and redundant PFD.
- An reaction control system to better aid the pilot on take off and landing.
Weapons load out includes (2) GBU-12II, (4) AGM-65D, (4) AIM-7M, (2) AIM-9L for a total of 16 ordnance selections. The GBU-12II’s are loaded with Penthrite. The Jaeger can saturate a landing area with explosive ordnance and provide CAS for ground units.
Ensure you have at least 70-150 meters of altitude before initiating forward flight with the primary engines. Cut off the VTOL rocket thrusters at around 100m/s forward velocity. The Jaeger uses a combination of jet fuel and KLOX to operate the rocket thrusters, the refueling port can be found at the rear.
