This version is out dated, here is the link to the new one: https://www.simplerockets.com/c/vm29pa/Vizzy-Hot-Staging-2-0
In case if you dont know, hot staging is where a rocket will fire up the second stage engine before staging, as seen on the second integrated starship launch. This staging method is good for in-atmosphere staging because bare seconds without thrust in an atmosphere can lead to a plumet of death. Enjoiy!

@deepfriedfrenchtoast yeah I tried that. Since hot staging is an in-atmosphere method, the rocket engine’s exhaust didn’t appear as spread out as I wanted the hot staging to look. I switched it to rcs because it was more realistic since the exhaust seen on hot stage flights is just smoke from the engines.

You could use smaller rocket engines attached to the first stage and edited to use an extremally small amounts of fuel and produce no thrust. Hook them up to the staging and they fire until the first stage runs out of fuel.

@OrbispaceSystems yeah I know, I used rcs to recreate the plumes

hot staging with a plume going through the holes doesnt work in juno i dont think
@ZeusSpaceAgency you could edit the chamber pressure to make it high enough for the exhaust to spread out. The engines could be on minimum power for the exhausts to have more wobble. If you want the exhausts to be a certain shape, like if you want the exhaust to expand more to the sides and not expand up and down much then you can edit the proportions of the engine to make it squashed outwards. The exhaust will be squashed too.
