This is absolutely unethical, but behold! An enormous triply folded rover that fits in yet a massive rocket. To make things even more unethical, it is crewed by 4 astronauts.
The rocket and landing stage are designed to go to and land on Cylero.
Note: Tested with Cylero in the new solar system only.
INSTRUCTIONS
Atmospheric entry
Get an encounter (NOT ORBIT) in your Hohmann trajectory with Cylero and make sure to get a periapsis around 11.5 km when you get closer. Ditch the cruise stage before entry. Use RCS activation-10 to steer in the atmosphere. See my sandbox post for more details, as this is the exact same thing, on a massive scale.
After igniting the landing stage, use RCS activation-7 to stabilize and extend the landing gear before touch-down (activation-2) and set the brakes.
EXTENSION
The rover is a monstrosity folded in three parts.
We will now see how to unfold it.
After landing check-list
- Ditch the engines.
- Brakes set.
- Check activation-3 deactivated.
- Check activation-1 deactivated.
- Slider-1 set to center.
- Slider-2 set to center.
Unfolding sequence
- Unfold the top with activation-3, and put slider-1 all the way up. Wait until the top is upright 90 degrees.
- Important, after stabilizing disable activation-3, and then set slider-1 back to center.
- Activate activation-1, and put slider-2 all the way up. Wait until it has rotated 180 and stabilized.
- Put slider-1 all the way up to extend the rest.
Release the brakes, throttle up and enjoy!
