SLS Block 1B

SLS Block 1B is responsible for sending the Orion spacecraft and other cargo to the moon. NASA's version of the SLS rocket is the Block1B version of the SLS rocket, which is planned to be used during the Artemis 4 mission, and the biggest difference with the current SLS rocket model is that it replaces a more powerful upper stage, named EUS - Explore the upper stage. The upper stage of the Block 1rocket is now ICPS, which uses only one RL-10B2 engine, while EUS uses four engines and has been replaced with a larger capacity liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen tank. Such improvements allow Artemis missions to send heavier loads to lunar orbit, can send four astronauts and Orion spacecraft to lunar orbit at a time, and due to increased thrust, SLS rocket launch window is also increased, mission flexibility is greater, and personnel have more options to respond to accidents.
