All six first stage engines fire simultaneously but only pull fuel from the side tanks - once you're well out of the atmosphere you'll still have a completely full main first stage tank. Can achieve a 200km+ orbit and still have 40% of the first stage main tank fuel. Second stage has RCS at center-of-mass for easy control, solar panels to charge the battery which operates the gyro, and a chute on the command pod. Enjoy!
