Ultimate Explorer 5

This is version 5 of the Ultimate Explorer. Nearly indestructible with an almost infinite Delta V, insane acceleration, and armed with 8 torpedoes, it is designed to learn how to use the game’s mechanics with plenty of room for error, or just to have some fun. RCS and nearly infinite battery, solar panels, and plenty of monopropellant are also included.
I’ve worked on this on mobile and I finished on PC, and it will work fine on any modern mobile device or the PC version of the game. No mods were used.

This ship makes extensive use of activation groups vs staging. There are only 5 stages, two that fire 4 torpedoes each, one that separates the crew compartment and command modules from the main engine core, an empty stage in case you are clumsy like me and tend to hit the stage button on mobile, and one final one that ejects the command module from the crew module…abandoning them in space, on a planet, or on a crash course into the sun… The ship is designed for powered descent and has a docking port hiding under the nose cone.

The Main Thrusters are the primary source of thrust in atmospheres and for landing. The Star Drive is designed to be used outside of an atmosphere or EXTREMELY CAREFULLY if the gravity of the world you are on is too great for the Main Thrusters. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Also, I suggest turning off the camera shake effect as the Star Drive’s thrust makes it go crazy. If you want to use the Star Drive in an atmosphere, you may need to disable heat damage. I hardened the parts to the max of 3000C, but you can exceed that with the extreme heat that can be generated by the Star Drive’s acceleration and velocity in an atmosphere.
