Crazy Lore:
It all started on a sunny morning at DSC, The operations were running smoothly and most of the staff were preparing for the first ever launch to luna.

Unbeknownst to the DSC aerodrome; a punch of hired secret service agents were sabotaging & reporting back to a competing Ali Military Base who in turn were doing what ever they could to stop that from happening....

DSC Tower Operator 1: ...slurp.. ah i love me some hot morning coffee.
Tower Operators 2: Jeff... what do you think about todays new radio control test?
Tower Op 1: the thingamajig they attached to the test plane?? ... ha it will probably fail like before.
Tower Op 2: we need to be optimistic... all of our evaluations turn to be correct, But somehow... someway the connection is lost midair .....they say it will land soon....
Tower Op 1: .....grabs binoculars.... there...it is flying but janky.. again.
Tower Op 2: What! Gimme that........ oscillation... right before it lost connection again Ahhh.
Tower Op 1: dang... did it crash?
Tower Op 2: yep... doesn't look too good.
Tower Op 2: we need to report back to the design bureau ASAP.

A Couple Hours Later

Ali Base was in need of a live report of failures and to closely study the progress, So the base sent a couple medium size UAVs.

.....sometime later inside DSC airspace....
Tower Op 2: Jeff, Get off you a** the radar is lighting up like crazy, scan the air ....grab the binoculars i feel a presence.
Tower Op 1: oh....
Tower Op 2: what is it Jeff?
Tower Op 1: maybe birds??.... Idk can't tell from this angle.
Tower Op 2: Give me that... UAVs??... wonder who is operating them......
Tower Op 2 Notices Ali Base markings on the aircraft.
Tower Op 2: sound the alarm Jeff we need to secure the area & Alert the security chief.

DSC Security Chief: what is it mark?... UAVs?!..how... that is impossible .....who dares to sabotage our work 🤬.
Tower Op 2: Yes sir i repeat there are a bunch of Ali Base UAVs and they seem armed too.
DSC Security chief: Leave it to me 😡🤬🤬... call ends.

Tower Op 1: you think he is gonna do something?
Tower Op 2: who, The chief? Sheesh the guy has a short fuse i wouldn't be surprised if he whipped out his pistol and tried to get them himself... crazy guy.

Moments later.....

DSC Security Chief: launch the air defense shoot them down.
DSC Air defense units shoot off SAM-2A missiles (Old potato guided missile that can't harm a fly)
1st one misses
2nd one misses by a mile
3rd one is jammed inside the tube.
DSC Security Chief: aaahhhhh 🤬🤬🤬🤬 we need better missiles.

The UAVs done with their tasks return.

A couple days later major work starts at the DSC design bureau for a new high quality all-aspect anti-air missile.
Tower Op 1: that was a sh**y the other day... didn't even enjoy my afternoon beach tan.
Tower Op 2: u Jeff, U lazy dog focus.. we are literally defending what we live for right now.... the first step of Drookind at Luna.
Tower Op 1: it is just that...... i have this feeling they will comeback today.
Tower Op 2: Ohoho... let them come Jeff... we have some serious defenses this time.
Tower Op 1: what? The flying telephone pole??... heh will be lucky to shootdown a bird even.
Tower Op 2: oh Jeff you poor thing... i sometimes wonder how you ended up to be a Tower Operator.

....In the meantime....

Ali Base was preparing an air raid towards DSC, Specifically targeting the main design bureau.
Major General: ready the stealth jets, we need to stop them right in their tracks...we can't afford to lose, Officer.. Prepare the tactical ballistic missile in the meantime
Pilots: got it sir, we will level the aerodrome.
Officer: Roger sir, ballistic coordinates are input & ready to go

...Minutes later...

The jets take off one by one at Ali Base Runway.
Supercruising at 1.5 mach, ETA 4 minutes to target the Ground Officers launch 8 BM-1 Tactical Ballistic Missiles towards DSC for simultaneous arrival with the jets

Little did they new the new radar was able to pick them up at take off one by one.
Waiting for the right moment.

...At approximately 125km from DSC...
Air defense Units under the order of DSC Security Chief Open up.
SAM-2E missiles launch vertically 1 by 1, Each missile aligning itself on an intercept vector.
Wreaking acoustic havoc while doing so
...Moments later...

The stealth pilots report back ETA and mission conditions to the base.

As one Pilot gets bored from the high altitude calmness he looks up seeing friendly TBMs who happened to be on time... in a beautiful ballistic trajectory on the dark blue sky glowing bright red.
He smiles... suddenly his smile turns into a frown...then into a horrific expression...
One by one the TBMs exploded.
Cockpits warnings light up
Alert! Alert! Missiles in the air, RWRs go crazy.

He looks forward and all of his mates are either exploding or ejecting prematurely due to unknown reasons.

DSC Security Chief: 😎😎😎 we got them boys.
As i said before our engineers are number 1 and that is why we are going to Luna first. Ahahahaha

Added safety events, thrust vanes, tuned rocket engines and inhanced the interior.
This was a major rework and the final of the famous SAM series, what started with me playing around with the earliest potato guided SAM-2A missiles ended here.

The revolving yellow lights are from JamesValeno's S-500 as well as the list box idea.
Steering wheel from a Crown GT

This uses a "Fire Control Module"** which detects targets with four engagement parameters :

• Identity
• Altitude
• Velocity
• Range

They can be either "Green" indicating good to go / is a foe.
Or "Red" indicating may or may not intercept / is a friendly.

The missiles report back the condition of intercept with 4 outputs:

• Estimated Time of Arrival (Eta)
• If Missile Struck the Target
• If Missile Proximity Fused near the Target
• If Missile Missed the target or Self-Destructed Mid-Flight
