(I just want to say everything I say related to the craft is jibberish, do not think this is fact). Launched in 1991, the Mars II mission was part 2 of the British Martian colonisation project or Operation Pebble. This craft arrived at Mars in 1992, landing in late September, the 28th to be precise. At 13:45 that day, Britian had launched and succesfully landed the first ever Martian rover. The landing was a near miss as when the retrorockets fired the craft swerved right and impacted the ground at 38m/s sideways. Enjoy! And leave and upvote!
