So im just working out the kinks in the motions of the joints but i think its comming along fine. Just need to lower the individual hinges to much lower rotations. However this will be the basis for a snake im putting together. It will be as close as i can make it with anatomically correct skeleton. So let me know if anyone plays with it any feed back. Thanks -SpaceChimp1

No worries it was the revised One haha! And you should really try the vizzy it’s not as hard as it looks like. Hope you’ll find a solution! By my side I went back to see if I could improve my old snake thing. I got better snaky movements but still too hard to control. But I figured out it works better in water @SpaceChimp1

@ImLordeYaYaYa I totally agree with the vizzy idea. Only that's a bit for me I think to learn right now. I dread programming. However it would totally work. I was looking at maybe a chain and then start it at length to the side so when it loads it would start its decent only then the part collision sticks them into each other. .. I want to continue this snake project too, think I'll get back to it now. Haha PS hope that was the revised Newton's craddle it's more functional than the first. Haha

@SpaceChimp1 You’re welcome : )
Just checked out your Newton’s cradle such a fun idea. First of all I think the game is not really optimized (yet?!) for part collisions... Anyway I still have a few ideas for you.
The first ball can not move freely because it’s rotator aren’t set on floppy, but if they were the ball could not initiate movement. My first idea is using an electric motor instead of a rotator and you should set the motor’s static resistance on 0 so the ball can move freely and still initiate movement.
You can also set all the rotators on floppy and find a way to lift the ball maybe with a small rocket engine.
If this doesn’t work because of the part collisions you can still make it look good by creating a vizzy program that does all the job hehe.
Good luck -

@ImLordeYaYaYa sweet! That's Great info. much Appreciated - Check out my revised Newton's Cradle as it's another almost done project needing alittle mechanical Help.

Just saw your comment on my whale post. I really like your idea of the snake spine this thing could be a really fun one !
So I did some tests and the first thing that I think needs to change is the rotators range. If you make the spine longer with a range of only 5° or 10° for each to rotator you still got a good overall range. I would also set the hinge rotators on pitch and the rotators on roll. You could also add a hinge rotator but perpendicular to the others and set it on yaw.
When a craft has too much moving parts it gets sometimes unstable in the game so you can also play with the stability modifier in this case. -

I spent all night trying to shape those ribs and finally just gave in to that design. The hinges are what need adjusting in there strength/ mobility. As is it tends to want to twist itself apart. Maybe I should slow down the hinges rate of movement?
Awesome, I had a feeling it would work better in water cause of the buoyancy. Does is it able to cause momentum by way of slithering? I found an neat trick maybe useful for the tail end using a chain of pistons on push connected to a rotary hinge. It was first used on my Newton's craddle as a chain replacing the strut lines. Not as I hoped but wicked effects. Like deadly. Would make great medusa head snakes . Haha
