Some features of XPND Light you might want to know about

• Propulsion of the first and second stage comes from a slightly modified off-the-shelf & flight-proven engine design, to eliminate costs that come with developing a brand-new engine.
• Our kick stage on the other hand is completely designed in-house, and therefore is tailored for our specific needs. Thanks to its scalable and modular design it will also be used on future rockets of our XPND family.

How to use this rocket :

• It uses Kell's Auto Launch vizzy program, so orbit will be achieved without you doing anything. You can always use AG 1 to cancel the program if needed.
• Once in orbit, provided you don't exceed the max. payload weight the 2nd stage will have some excess fuel left. However the RCS thrusters around the engine are there only to compensate for the fixed nozzle. THERE'S NOT ENOUGH MONOPROPELLANT TO DO ANY MAJOR (even minor really) ATTITUDE CHANGES
• Taking into consideration the last point, you can transfer to a higher orbit (and even circularize if you don't exceed a certain altitude) with the second stage
• If the 2nd stage runs out of fuel, well, obviously, detach and use the kick stage.
• ANY INCLINATION CHANGE AND (MINOR) ALTITUDE CORRECTIONS WILL HAVE TO BE DONE BY THE KICK STAGE.
