Falcon-1 is a partially reusable launch system. SpaceX designed and manufactured this rocket for commercial space missions. The two-stage rocket uses liquid oxygen / kerosene as fuel. The first section uses a Merlin engine; the second section uses a kestrel. Falcon-1 is the world's first plan to use private funds to build liquid orbit rockets, which cost only $6.7 million per launch (2006 currency value).
