Magrospike Nuclear Thermal Rocket is my personal design, investigating the possibility of a complicated magnetic nozzle that can manipulate exhausts with similar physical features in a traditional aerospike nozzle.
Magrospike is a self-made word composed of "Magnetic" and "Aerospike".
This design can potentially solve the overheating problems in the traditional aerospike nozzle, but with the prize of higher complexity and the complicated shape of the magnetic field.
However, this concept is still worth trying, to improve the application range of NTR, maybe this design can be applied to a nuclear SSTO.
For the atmospheric environment, this concept should be connected to a closed-gas cycle nuclear thermal rocket, which is similar to the nuclear "lightbulb".
