The TAV-01 (Trans-Atmospheric Vehicle) Sea Viper is a build I have sat on for a long time. It would be meant to serve as an uncrewed scout, but I was never really happy with it enough to use, as both the TACV-25 Tidebreaker and TA-STOV-30 Aurora excel in almost any environment.
So in a sense, there never was really a need for an uncrewed scout.
In any case, I figured that I should give it a name something other than "New Scout 5" and publish it.
It lacks many features native to Tidebreaker and Aurora, like moving shock cones and the GPWS, but if this gets good enough reception, I'll consider updating.
It is VTOL and uses my usual bi-lateral thrust vectoring system, so RCS is not needed in VTOL. Should be pretty easy to use. AGs are labeled. Make sure to enable part lift forces, helps a lot. The docking port is 260% scaled.
All four VTOL clusters should be rated up to 4.5g environments, but the main rocket will be the major bottleneck for higher performance. The propulsion system consists of 8 turbojets, 1 nuclear gas core main rocket, and something like 74 mini gas core rockets for VTOL.
