T-3 Gladiator

The T-3 Gladiator is a long range high altitude transport aircraft capable of speeds of just below Mach 3. It has a protective heat resistant coating and can be operated stably above 27000 meters. The T-3 begins to lose inflight stability above altitudes of 30000 meters, so maintaining manual control of the aircraft is necessary for stable flight. The T-3 takes advantage of its low mounted wing configuration and can glide for extended periods of times so long as it’s airspeed never decreases below 90 mps. It’s cargo hold can double for personnel transport and it’s seats can be removed and replaced with docking ports for cargo containment. The Gladiator is the only T-Series aircraft which is not VTOL capable, but it lands quite easily regardless.
