Stalin's Hammer-B4 Howitzer

The B-4 barrel length is 5087mm, the barrel length with rifling part is 3981mm, the number of rifling in the bore reaches 64, and the barrel weight reaches 5.2 tons. The Soviets prepared a series of ammunition for the B-4 howitzer, including concrete penetrators and special empennage stabilized projectiles. The warhead of the latter is made of chrome-vanadium alloy and has a length of about 1 meter. Due to its very high material density, it can increase the penetrability of the warhead. The shell body of the shell is equipped with heavy shells, which can bear the impact force when penetrating. The rear end of the shell body is equipped with four steel wings and is encased by an outer barrel. When the shell bursts out of the muzzle, the outer barrel automatically falls off, and the four wings automatically jump off under the action of the spring mechanism, so that the trajectory can be kept stable.
