GUYS, I FIXED IT (a little)! LINK: https://www.simplerockets.com/c/ixG86H/SpaceX-Falcon-9-Block-5-11-ScaleUpdate-1

First attempt at a Falcon 9 rocket that I'm actually happy with and willing to show off. That doesn't mean there aren't issues, but it seems to work okay. Actually, as far as I'm aware, there are no issues functionally, only visually.

The grid fins are the main thing I want to bring up. I know they look wrong. But they do function properly, and that's what mattered to me for now. I will probably try to make a better looking grid fin, but these work for now.

Also, I do know the font for the SpaceX logo is wrong, but I honestly have NO idea what to do about that. The default font is just wrong.

Anyway, one disclaimer: I have NOT scripted the landing. This vehicle, like all my builds after I learnt how, is capable of autonomously getting into orbit. But of course, the Falcon 9 does a little more than that. I don't know how to script that, and if you want to land it, you'll have to fly it manually and/or ditch the upper stage. Sorry.

Okay, that said, on to the activation groups!

AG1: Satellite Piston
AG2: Grid fin deploy
AG3: Grid fin actuators (control, pitch/yaw)
AG4: Outer 2 engines (for re-entry burn)
AG5: Centre engine (for landing burn)
AG6: Outer 6 engines
AG7: Auto-orbit
AG8: Landing legs
AG9: Solar panels
AG0: RCS (first stage)
Slider 1: Piston
Slider 2: Grid fin deploy hinges

As a side note: you can and should put your own payload into the fairing. Simply grab the interstage that connects my pathetic attempt at a satellite to the rocket, and drag the entire vehicle to the 'Save as subassembly.' Then you can use that subassembly for any payload you wish. Oh, and one other thing: you may have to save the fairing as a separate subassembly. Not sure, I haven't tried it yet, but fair warning.

Enjoy!
