Developed by Verum Aerospace in 2021 as a replacement for the the Achilles capsule the Icarus lander serves as the next step in interplanetary exploitation. Using advanced carbon fiber construction, the Icarus is both lightweight and strong. Most orbital class rockets are able to carry the Icarus to its destination. The Icarus is designed for propulsive landings for most planetary bodies. To accomplish this, Icarus uses three drag chutes and six Hydra II engines. Icarus was designed to carry up to 4 astronauts. While landed Icarus is reconfigured to serve as a habitation module on the ground.
