Hello fellow rocket builders!

Today I present a piece of history, the Titan IIIE-Centaur. This rocket was the carrier of the voyager probe and was the last of the Titan heavylifters. I spent many hours reserching performance and searching photographs to capture the amazing look of this rocket.

History (wikipedia):
In the 1960s NASA needed a new more powerful rocket to lift heavier probes. So, in 1967 NASA looked into mounting a Centaur upper stage to a Titan III this was deamed fesable but it would take modifications of the Centaur, these would prevent boil off of the fuel on the longer coast to orbit. The rocket had several close calls when the engines on the second stage shut down early in both Voyage probe mssion. And the very first mission of the rocket failed due to a loose screw.

So, a bit on the technical stuff of this rocket:
2 solid rocket motors
3 stages
Centaur upper stage

I did not put any payload in the bay
