Small research lander designed for manual training (it is quite easy to maneuver but also very controllable, requires patience and a lot of practice).
The jet engine has two free steering axes, pitch and yaw, roll is controlled by the rcs.
If you are somewhat of a beginner I recommend openly using the gyroscope to pilot it (There is an AG to lock and deactivate the engine gimbal) making it easier to pilot under the gyroscope steering lock.
The motor is of low impulse so using it at 100% is highly recommended, it also gives an idea and notion of how the real propulsion should be for a real manned landing.
It can also be used extensively as a training vehicle for V-tol devices.
It shares a crew of two droonauts (apart from giving the additional weight for the correct balance of the device).
It can also be piloted in first person (cockpit blind spots give more notion of the lack of vision in a real Lander, you can add panels if you have a window design in mind) or just pilot it in third person
I recommend piloting it entirely with RCS and the motor gimbal as it gives a very realistic experience.
Motor pitch and yaw are calibrated to be used with the joysticks in their corresponding directions
If pitch forward or backward is needed the engine will go in the opposite direction, the same for yaw control, this due to the angles of rotation necessary to stabilize it. The roll rcs work in the opposite direction, pay careful attention to this.
It can roam the DSC all the way around and land softly on the available helicopter pads, although it's a pain to do so if you're unpracticed.
after all have fun :)
