What exactly does this ground tracking view allow you to determine, see, or do? Is it the same as what locking-on to locations or crafts does?

The jet has a camera aiming at the rocket.As the flight programs are fully automatic,you can switch to the jet to get a,ground tracking view ,if physics distance is long enough,and both the two stages can finish their actions by themselves. -
