This is the smallest version of ULV rocket family.
About the craft:
The Unified Launch Vehicle (ULV) is a family of modular expendable launch vehicles, currently under development by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This vehicle is designed to replace the PSLV, GSLV Mk I/II and GSLV Mk III with a single family of launchers.[1]
The design may include a heavy-lift variant dubbed HLV, consisting of the SC-160 stage and two solid rocket boosters, as well as a super heavy-lift variant called SHLV with a cluster stage of five SCE-200 engines.[1][12] As SCE-200 will only fly after the successful completion of the Gaganyaan program, the launcher will not fly before 2022
SCE-200 engine:
The SCE-200 is an Indian, under-development, liquid-fuel rocket engine, burning liquid oxygen (LOX) and RP-1 kerosene in an oxidizer-rich staged combustion cycle.[citation needed] This engine is expected to power Indian Space Research Organization's upcoming Unified Launch Vehicle (ULV) and Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV).[5] It is being developed by the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, a subsidiary of ISRO. But before that it will be tested on a GSLV Mk III by replacing the L110 stage powered by the Vikas engine with an SC-200 stage powered by SCE-200 engine and a 200 tone propellant load.
CE-20 engine:
The CE-20 is a cryogenic rocket engine developed by the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, a subsidiary of Indian Space Research Organization. It has been developed to power the upper stage of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk III.[5] It is the first Indian cryogenic engine to feature a gas-generator cycle.[6] The high thrust cryogenic engine is one of the most powerful upper stage cryogenic engines in the world.
