This is the updated Interstellar Ranger from five years ago. I’m surprised no one else managed to get it working until now, but it’s finally running smoothly. The landing engines work great, though they do require some skill to handle. The RCS is still quite buggy, but you can improve stability by adjusting the autopilot settings.
In the in-flight information panel, set the range for pitch and roll to 200 each. Also, set all proportional, integral, and derivative values to 200. If you experiment with these values and find something better, let me know. For now, this configuration keeps the craft stable throughout the entire flight.
Docking is definitely possible with this craft. If anyone manages to get it working alongside an Endurance station, please share your setup! Just be aware that the Ranger can burn up easily during reentry if you don’t slow down in time—try to reduce speed, or turn heat damage down to about 30–40%.
Ideally, you should use a HOTAS for the best experience. I’d be very surprised if it works well on mobile, but feel free to give it a try. On my system with a 3070 GPU, I’m getting a stable 60 FPS at max settings and around 120 FPS in space. Both performance and stability are excellent.
For my controls, when using a HOTAS, I set the sensitivity for all X, Y, and roll axes to 50%. With these settings, the craft flies like a dream.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO LAND IT TAKES ALOT OF PRACTICE IT IS MUCH EASIER TO LAND ON WATER
SET PROP AND DERV to 10 AND TURN INTERGAL OFF IN SPACE

still quite bad control issues in space rcs port placement most likely the cause
-
@finalfrontierareospace the correct autopiolet settings make this a non issue

my only complaint is that the center of thrust and mass is not balanced, it tends to pitch down on throttle.

your scale is different (correct) than other rangers so it would be hard.
flies amazing, Im running it on a second gen A12Z iPad Pro, runs perfect. and I'm using a ps4 controller. -
@jonahstaples please let me know if you can figure out a way to integrate it with adnothe endurance

awesome ship, love that movie and have yet to find a really good ranger. I think this might be the one
yeah I wasn't using autopilot at all, tended to send it into a massive spin
