On January 16th, 2025, SpaceX launched Ship 33 and Booster 14 on the Starship IFT-7 test flight. Ship 33 was the first Starship V2 to fly. It was carrying 10 Starliner satellite demonstrators onboard, to be deployed in space. Everything preformed nominally at first, with B14 successfully being caught by the Mechazilla arms, the second catch by SpaceX. As Ship 33 neared SECO, Raptor engines began to shut down. At around T+ 9:00, Ship 33 telemetry abruptly stopped. SpaceX continued to try and regain telemetry of Ship 33, but at T+ 14:00, SpaceX stated that Ship 33 had disintegrated. Minutes later, debris from Ship 33 was observed re-entering. Both Ship 33, the first Starship V2, and the ten Starlink satellites onboard, were lost. This post memorializes Ship 33, with the Starship aft fin being from @ASIspace’s Starship-V2.

@Luc3s, ya, there were ten dummy satellites on board, just to test the deployment mechanism.
