Lore:
A years after the launch of the SLO-183, Voldren Technical Solutions, now rebranded as the Sloan Aerospace Division, was ready to create the first ever fully-blown Sloan fighter aircraft.
The aircraft fist started off as an esperiemntal project financed by the Obsidian Navy. As the world slowly expanded to the point of more earnings, more countries were attempting to build strong navy's to combat the Mocairian's extreme Naval Superiority. This lead to the production of the next Sloan Naval fighter. The thing on your screen today.
The Krustanian government contacted Sloan Ballistics in the same month as the start of the design phase for a naval fighter. (the SLO-25 was not publicly disclosed yet) so Sloan, on the side of profits, decided to "definetly not make a copy" of their own design and sold it's lisenze separetly to the Krustanians to produce their own under the name of the Ni-9.
The SLO-25 officially entered service under the Obsidian Navy in 1972 after being produced and sold the same year. It was shortly sold En Masse to the Boatalian Navy. The country bought 100 as a starting order, aswell as 100 SLO-183 at the same time. This was by far the biggest purchase of vehicles in Sloan's history.
The SLO-25 also entered service in the Sloan Ballistic Private Army. Here it can be hired for service by certian war parties for defensive and or offensive roles. The jet also was purchased for the Peacekeeping group.
Overall, the SLO-25 has been one of the most important Naval Fighters in the history of the world. It's ability to transition from Ground Attack mode to Air Attack mode in the flip of a switch is unprecidented.
It remains one of the most powerful Sloan-Built fighters on the planet. It even out-performed the rival AUG-17 single-engine naval fighter built for the Etranian Navy. but since the country fell just after the production of the AUG-17, the fighter's lack of sales and sucsess compared to the SLO-25 is logical.
