The Mk3 Mod 3.5 EVI, or Enhanced Visibility Interceptor, is the latest installment of the Ghost Class. designed to have a somewhat sleeker profile and lower weight, it has much better unassisted crew visibility and lower drag.
It was conceived by the Interstellar Shipbuilding Company[Trademark Pending] to give the DEWC a better craft for long range interception better suited the expanding influence of the DSDF than the aging Mod 2.5s, which are relegated to patrolling the orbit around planets of great interest and or importance.
