A very cheap people’s car with a 16 year waiting list. Bumpy ride, no seatbelts, bad handling, and no lights.
this one was produced for 40 years, 1965-2005, with models after 1987 having seatbelts due to post-communist laws.
After 1990, this generic car fell out of the public eye immediately after competition was allowed, with literally every other car being better, safer, and heavier.
Despite everything, some managed to survive. This preserved 1971 model is a good example, but most are badly rusted, and kicking or punching the panels too hard will cut holes in the panels.
The car did not have a legal real name until the late 1980s (lots of documentation is lost) and then it was referred to legally as ?????? “the car”
