This was my first attempt at making a Jet plane and shuttle over the weekend. I have only had Simplerockets 2 for about a month, but finally had a chance this weekend to sit down and give building a shot. I combined the two since it only seemed logical and it's fun to say the least.
It's by no means nimble so you have to turn slowly but pretty stable and smooth. The airplane can get up to 25000ms at 930m/s within a few minutes at max throttle even with the shuttle hooked on so you don't have to spend too much time flying. The shuttle itself has folding wings to help with a stable atmosphere re-entry. The cargo bays are actually crew cabins with command pods inside for space and seats with Astronauts ready to fly. There's absolutely no auto pilot programed so it's vanilla. No Mods or anything. It was a lot of fun to build and fly
