I tried to create a simple jet with details in the middle or beginning of the tech tree. Max horizontal speed is about 330 m/s. Open the cargo bay to put what you need. Then activate group 1 during flight to throw it.

Ok here is the tip for activation groups. Go into staging then see the three buttons on one of the sides.. click the top one and there you go.. and in order to make that activation group activate that part and then see activation group and select one you made
