Echo 3, You Are Go For The Moon

Now the time has come, reaching the moon. It has been a hard long week of testing and modifying the rocket. The outcome a rocket small rocket capable of reaching the moon with ease. Now you might notice that it now has three stages, making it the first rockets that I built with three stages. The flight plan has been changed due to increase engine performance and having three stages.

Flight Plan

Getting it to Space, Not Orbit

Nothing crazy to do, just set the throttle to 100& and then liftoff! Once you have lifted off change the pitch to 65* when you have reach 5 km and then change it to 35* when you have reached 15 km. Then separate the stage, but before you do that turn on the RCS to keep the rocket stable while doing the separation part.

Orbiting

Now that you have separated the stages, change the pitch to 15* and make the second burning until you have reached 150 km on your Apogee. Then after, reignite the second stage and keep burning until you have made a sub-orbital orb it. Then use the separate the third stage and then use it to create the orbit.

Trans-lunar Injection

Now that you have separated the stages again, it is now time to do the trans-lunar injection. Click Luna and tap the Target button. Keep pressing your orbit until you have created a trans-liner injection orbit. Once you have done that click the Map View button and click Lock Burn button and also click the Automated Burn once you have created trans-lunar injection.

Changing Orbit

Now that you have arrived at Luna and it shows the perigee of your rockets orbit, press the Retrograde button and then reignite the engine to lower the orbit of your rocket. Once you can see the full orbit, burn at the lowest point of the orbit and then lower the apogee to create a circle orbit around the moon.

Delivery Done

Final step to any rocket is to deliver the payload to its designated destination. Once you have created the orbit release the satellite and then open its solar array.
