Courage Lunar Buggy

Important note: The throttle has been relerped to allow full backwards travel. "Zero throttle" is between 45%-55% (it's a range to make it easier to click in a hurry). Anything above 55% is forward, anything below 45% is reverse.

Another one in the long, proud heritage of Courage-series lunar vehicles, this time including a chair!

I built this one to rack up some of the "Drive/Walk X distance" milestones on Droo's moons. It features a rocker and dual bogie suspension, because let's be honest, the built in suspension in the game are dookie. There are some springs to help absorb lateral force if you get yeeted, but the primary vertical suspension uses bogies and inertia to counter bumps.

- Front and rear driving lights
- Front spotlight
- FLIR night driving camera
- Fixed and deployable solar panels
- Onboard generator (use sparingly - it eats monopropellant very quickly)
- Gyro-stabilized ("lock up" if you get yeeted and it will try to right itself)
- Forward RCS nozzles (to flip you over if you get stuck upside down)
- Operable with either the forward command disc, or with a driver (tip: keep the driver in control to accumulate "walked" credit towards the career milestones)

I hope this helps you out in your careers - I just racked up 250 tech points just by driving a drood 10km across TT.

In the future, I'll probably work on a Block II version with the driver either facing up rocket-style, or facing down Batman-style, as the lower center of gravity makes the vehicle more stable.
