Droo doesn’t have many runways, but it has plenty of water. Much like others before us, we have modified the buoyancy using the sophisticated Advanced Parts Settings to create an amphibious plane (other than that, no XML mods nor parts tinkering). Buitenzorg Aerospace Systems is proud to present:

C-401e Pelikan Amphibious Cargo Plane

Powered by 4 motors and a total battery capacity of 5ish GJ, the C-401e Pelikan can deliver cargo (up to 30kg) to faraway places, even in the middle of the ocean. Rescue the crew of stranded landing pods. Take a swim and return to the plane by using the built-in folding stairs. Take a rest on the available bed (basic models will only have 1 bed). Low on fuel? No problem, just land somewhere and deploy the solar panels (AG9).

To take off from water, make sure AG2 is off. Spoilers (AG3) are used to create drag and help lower speed during landing. Using the stairs (AG5) before the door is deployed (AG4) may result in a catastrophic explosion. Turning off AG2 on land may break the outer propellers.

Basic model comes with four chairs, one bed, and one unfinished bathroom. Average speed is 150-160 m/s at <1000m.
