So this is my take on the Saturn V that launched humans to the Moon from 1968-1972. Finally finished (well, mostly). The Lunar Module even includes the Moon Buggy!

Unfortunately there is a glitch that causes the LM to stop working after loading a quick save. I have no idea why it happens or how to fix it, but I will make a version without the LM if neccessary.

Made for RSS.

@parri0923 disable the heat damage, that should fix it

Engines take overexpansion damage until explosion around 2500m. Does it every time. What happened?

@XxentricC If it’s breaking apart as soon as it spawns on the launch pad, try putting an interstage on the bottom, if it’s breaking during flight, make sure that the stages are in the correct order and that nothing is colliding within the stages. Thank you though!

Great craft! I have a question, when I built my Saturn V, I tried to use proper dimensions, and I can see that your Saturn V has proper dimensions too, or at least close to proper. Anyways, when I launched mine the stages broke apart, how do you keep that from happening?

@TomKerbal Yeah, you kind of have to do it manually for now. It only automatically turns until the apoapsis reaches 100 km due to the equation in the script. I may add “set pitch to 25 deg” or so in the second stage to compensate for the low TWR.

@mrspock15 Nice! Now it's working fine, I deactivated all mods. Perhaps you could do something additional concerning the flight path. As far as I remember, they started with a gravity turn in the first stage and then put an angle offset to the flight path in the second stage because it was to weak for a pure gravity turn. Circularization was around 300km (different in Apollo missions, but approx.). Then TLI and finishing stage 3. Great to remember all this, I often looked at Apollo photos bought by my brothers with the slide projector when I was a small boy...

@TomKerbal Yes, this requires no mods. I wanted mobile players to be able to use it as well.

@mrspock15 What mods do I have to use ? I have RSS Rebalance activated and the Saturn V has a mass of >4500t with it, perhaps I must deactivate the mod ?
