The first prototype of this rocket was constructed in 1998. During it's first unmanned trial, a fire of unknown origin started in the capsule. It fried the moniter systems and spread to the fuel before emergency personel could arrive. The rocket exploded, vaporizing the nearby Cyberis Space Foundation (CSF) facility. The Odin Program was temporarily shut down after that. Only being revived recently, creating the Odin-1 Flying Deutchman spacecraft.
