Intentionally set up large and slow to show what I'm talking about....
Once activated, despite being at 4% speed, the piston moves from 0 travel to full travel speed almost instantly.
It takes about 1 minute to cross the silver portion of the pole (3.5 meters), then proceeds to spend about 3 more minutes in the yellow zone at the bottom before finally coming to a stop flush with the bottom. Same in the other direction.
The solution I'm looking for is, how do I get the piston to go full travel at the same speed, but the last tiny bit not take 3 times as long to slow to a stop as it took to get there?
In otherwords, I want the piston to take a short time to reach full speed, then, when stopping, take the same amount of time slowing down.
Zoom in once it reaches the end of the stick, and you will see how painfully slow it moves getting the last .05 meters of the overall 4 meters of movement done.
It's an issue because I have to move at less than 10% speed to begin a process on another build, but by doing so, it takes almost 5 minutes for this step to complete, when it should only take about a minute and a half or so for this one motion. 3-4% speed seems to be the best speed to begin the piston movement else everything goes kablooie, so I would really like to speed up the end of the piston movement by *100. Ideally, I would like it to take a few seconds reaching a set speed, because about 10% speed would get it done quickly enough, and then make the end slow down at the same rate it built up to full speed. I'll live with the 4%-6% speed if I can just get the end to not take 3 minutes to move .05 meters if nothing else
Any help, I appreciate it. I feel like it's going to take a custom curve or some other crazy setting to accomplish this, just don't understand why it takes soooooooooo long to do so small of a motion
The dilemma I have with this is, when I use a tractor, if I pull the control and max out the bucket height, but don't let go of the control, it takes about a second or so before it overpowers the over pressure valve and stops. How do I make the game pistons behave that way basically is the question.
just trying to simplify it the best I can because I can't seem to track out anything on the animation curves and how to use them for parts in the game.
